Recipes with bread are mysterious for me. To me, bread is such a wonderful flexible ingredient in my pantry which I love to experiment with. Anyway am sharing with you one of my simple snack recipe with bread. We all love easy snacks. Right?  Well, here is the easy snacks to make for a crowd.   Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour and water. It is the staple food of Middle East, North Africa, Europe. Bread is one of the oldest artificial food which is very popular around the world. Bread is served in various forms and eaten as a snack or as an ingredient in some other culinary preparations. Bread sandwiches, bread crumbs for coating, bread pudding, bread pancakes, bread balls, stuffed bread, bread upma, bread rolls, bread gulab jamun and much more. Hope you all will try this bread snack recipe.  So here is the recipe showing how to make tasty bread snacks recipe/bread bonda / bread balls

INGREDIENTS


Bread                                     - 2 nos, remove the sides + 1( crumbs)
Coconut grated                      - 5 tbsp
Cashews / Almonds                - as required (chopped)
Kerala Banana (Poovan pazham)-  1, optional
Sugar                                      - 3 tsp
Milk                                        - 2 tbsp (as required for the dough)
Salt
Oil

PREPARATION




  • Dry roast the grated coconut and sugar in a frying pan for 2 minutes.
  • Transfer it to a bowl along with chopped cashews, bread pieces, Kerala banana ( poovan pazham), and a pinch salt.
  • Press tightly all these ingredients with your hand and make a smooth dough by adding milk.
  •  Now make small balls ( lemon sized) and roll it in breadcrumbs and then deep fry in hot oil.
  • When the color of the balls changes to golden ( do not over fry), remove from the flame.
  • Serve hot with a nice cup of tea !!!!!
