DESSERT RECIPES - FRUIT NUTS PUDDING / TRICOLORED PUDDING

Here am with an outstanding pudding to treat you virtually. A Tri colored and Tri flavored pudding recipe without food colors. Tricolored pudding with fruit and nuts is one of my best desserts which gives me lotts of appreciation. It looks gorgeous and tastes outstanding with fruits and nuts in each bites. The three colors have three different tastes and together they make a treat to your taste buds. The top black layer is powdered Oreo in milk, agar agar and condensed milk mixture, the middle layer is fruit custard pudding and finally chocolate pudding layer with bites of fruits nuts in each layer. Am sure you all will try this and enjoy. Here is the recipe of an easy dessert with fruit / how to make creative pudding.







INGREDIENTS

Milk                                         - 1 ltr (according to the size of the mold...the mold i used is very large only)
Sweetened condensed milk     - 1 tin
Sugar                                      - 3 tbsp
Oreo biscuits                           - 8 nos, powdered
Custard powder                      - 2 tbsp
Melted chocolate                    - 5 tbsp
Agar agar / china grass          - 10 gms
Fruits in sugar syrup               - 1 cup, you can use store bought or can use chopped fruits cooked in sugar syrup. Do not add the syrup to the pudding mixture. ( Keep some syruped fruits for garnishing)
Nuts chopped                            - 1 cup ( i used cashews, pistachios, walnuts, Almonds)


PREPARATION


  • Boil milk in a vessel. Once boiled, add condensed milk and sugar. Mix well and set aside.
  • Set aside the cubed fruits in sugar syrup and the chopped nuts.
  • Now prepare the first layer. Divide the milk mixture equally  into 3 bowls.
  • Divide the china grass into 3 equal parts.
  • For the top black layer, powder the oreo biscuits in a blender and mix it with milk mixture. Stir very well. Soak one portion of the china grass in quarter cup of cold water for few minutes and then cook over a slow flame until it dissolves to a clear liquid. Add it to the milk oreo mixture . Stir continuously. Now assembling the prepared pudding mixture. Place the silicon mold over a plate and pour this mixture slowly to the mold or pudding tray. Add some nuts over it and  keep refrigerated till we prepare the second layer or until slightly sets. 
  • For the middle yellow layer, mix custard powder with  4 tbsp water and stir well. Add this mixture to the another portion of prepared milk mixture and stir very well. Add syrup-ed fruits(do not add syrup, only fruits) to this mixture and mix well . Soak the other portion of  china grass in quarter cup of cold water for few minutes and then cook over a slow flame until it dissolves to a clear liquid. Add it to the custard mixture and stir continuously. Pour it over the oreo layer(once set) gently and keep refrigerated again.
  • And finally for the bottom chocolate layer, add melted chocolate with the milk mixture along with some chopped nuts and syrup -ed fruits (if leftover).Mix very well. Soak the final portion of  china grass in quarter cup of cold water for few minutes and then cook over a slow flame until it dissolves to a clear liquid. Add it to the chocolate  mixture and stir continuously. Pour it over the custard layer(once set) gently and keep refrigerated until set completely for 4 hours. 
  • Once set flip it to a plate slowly if it is a mold or else cut into desired shapes and enjoy!!!
