SAUTEED MUSHROOM / ROASTED MUSHROOM
This recipe with mushroom/mushroom capsicum masala helps you to make your dinner meal within minutes, am sure. Mushroom recipes and cauliflower recipes are my favorite vegetarian side dishes. It is very easy and quick to whip up a gravy or curry or even dry fry recipes with mushroom vegetable. These days i often prepare mushroom dishes at my home as a substitution to chicken dishes. My kids too love and enjoy mushroom recipes. You can make a variety of dishes with this veggie mushroom like spicy mushroom curry, stuffed mushroom recipe, mushroom chili, mushroom masala dosa, mushroom soup recipe, mushroom salad, mushroom popcorn, kaju mushroom gravy, tomato mushroom roast, pepper mushroom etc. So here am with a mushroom masala roast or mushroom capsicum roast. Sliced mushroom is added to the mushy tomato gravy along with chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, bell peppers and cooks until the gravy becomes thick.Moreover, this is a no onion no garlic recipe. So it is very easy to whip up this curry or gravy. And the recipe calls for handy ingredients only. INGREDIENTS
Mushroom - 400 g (one and a half packet), sliced as in the pic
Tomato - 2 nos, small, sliced
Turmeric powder - half tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp (can add more to make it hot)
Bell peppers/capsicum - few, I used green and yellow bell peppers sliced
Salt - half tsp or as required
Oil - 2 tbsp
Chopped coriander leaves- for garnishing
PREPARATION
- Heat oil in a kadai or wok. Saute sliced tomatoes until mushy and oil separates on the top.
- To this, add sliced mushroom along with chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Combine very well and cook covered for 5 minutes.
- Then add, capsicum sliced and give a fine mix.
- Let it cook until the gravy becomes thick. Saute occasionally.
- When done garnish with chopped coriander leaves and sliced red chilies (optional).
- Serve hot along with dosa, chappati, poori, bread like so. Simple but really delicious.
